Painted and Stitched landscapes
This is a great introduction to making art quilts, combining some fabric painting, simple appliqué and machine stitching. My samples have been made approximately A4 size as this is achievable within the day and your finished piece could be mounted in a frame or bound as a small wallhanging. The workshop will include:
- How to plan and design your mini landscape
- Painting elements and fabrics to add to your design
- Simple raw edge appliqué techniques
- Free motion stitching
- Combining stitches with automatic stitch patterns
